MiPortal: PBS Universe

MiPBS Universe: Rapid access to PBS claims data across Australia since 2008, updated monthly, arranged into leading reports, leading trends, and market overviews.

The Australian Government’s Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) covers all of the medicines available to patients at a Government-subsidised price. The scheme is managed by the Department of Health and administered by the Department of Human Services .

MiPBS Universe present almost 100% of valid claims made to the PBS by the Australian population, both in retail pharmacy as well as some hospital settings. The data contained covers both ethical general medicine and most specialised drugs administered in retail and hospital channels. Some exceptions do apply for special arrangement drugs.
